Zbib, Mohamad

Biography

Mohamad Zbib joined the School of Engineering at Santa Clara University in September 2021, as a faculty member in General Engineering & Mechanical Engineering. Zbib moved from Phoenicia University in Lebanon, where he was the founding coordinator of the Mechanical Engineering department. He was an Associate Professor serving the students & the university through his academic, teaching, & research activities. His main professional experience is in the fields of materials, mechanical, & general engineering. Zbib’s research specialization focuses on processing, characterization, & developing structure-property relationships of materials such as metal-coated carbon nanotube turfs, granular & nanopowder silicon, & brittle microspheres. His research work has been published in several peer-reviewed journal articles, conference proceedings, & a book chapter. Originally from Lebanon, Zbib came to the U.S. in January 2008 where he earned a B.S. degree in Materials Science & Engineering from Washington State University, & a Ph.D. degree in Materials Engineering from Purdue University.
