Students worked to interface the Vernier Dissolved Oxygen Sensor with the HOBO U30 Environmental Monitoring System to enhance the environmental education for students at Peterson Middle School. The two pieces of equipment were not designed to work together; the students talked with technical representatives from each company, as well as to take the equipment apart to see how they worked and where cables connected.  In the end the students were successful in integrating the sensor into the HOBO U30 device.
