Improving the Efficiency of Stroke Patient’s Physical Rehabilitation (ENGR 110, Winter 2011)

The student attempted to design a contraption to attach to the pedals of a stationary bicycle that would enable stroke survivors and others who experience hypertonicity in their leg muscles, to be able to ride the bike. The contraption had to be easy to use (easy on/off), and the pedal with the contraption had to also work for people who didn’t have a disability but still wanted to ride the bike.
