Bay Area Tech Companies Agree to Share Profits With US Government

Chip makers Nvidia and AMD say they’ve now agreed to share some of their profits with the U.S. government. Profits from revenue the companies will make from selling the previously banned H20 chip to China. Business and tech reporter Scott Budman reports on the deal which may actually be in violation of Article 1 of the U.S. Constitution.

"It does appear that national security is for sale," says Ann Skeet, senior director, leadership ethics.

"My biggest concern are the commitments the government seemed to make to the American people about protecting our national security which now seem to be to be thrown out the window when there's the possibility of making some money," states Skeet.
