It’s been a great honor to serve the Santa Clara University community as Acting President for the past year. It has been a remarkably challenging time for our students, faculty, staff, alumni—and for our world. But we’ve learned how we are a light for one another, and how our Jesuit educational mission is such a blessing to ourselves and to the future that so needs our values and our graduates. I am truly appreciative of your support and prayers.
I am looking forward to more time with my family on sabbatical after June 30. I will travel, read and even try to nap! In January 2023, I will return to the law school, where I am excited to teach and share what I learned writing my recent book about my mentor, “The Best Beloved Thing is Justice.” I also look forward to helping the University Relations team and so many of our alumni and friends support our incredible students and programs here at Santa Clara University.
I wish you and your loved ones good health.
Peace and joy,
Lisa
