Andrea Zurek

Andrea Zurek is one of the four original founders and managing directors of XG Ventures. Andrea Zurek has been an active angel investor since 2006. Ms. Zurek has been named one of the top 25 tech angels by Businessweek. In addition, she has been named one of "25 Influential Business Women in San Francisco/Silicon Valley You Should Follow on Twitter." She has also been profiled in the "Top 40 Under 40" in the Silicon Valley/San Jose Business Journal, and most recently in San Francisco Magazine.

Ms. Zurek worked at Google for more than seven years, starting in early 2000, as one of the first ad sales executives. She built and managed the West Coast sales region, leading more than 30 sales people with annual bookings of $100M+. She was responsible for inking over 200+ deals of new business, across multiple verticals, including building original partnerships with eBay, Wal-Mart, E*Trade, CNet, Cisco, and Macy's.

She has more than 16 years of sales experience in both print and Internet advertising industries. While at Google, she also founded and managed a group of national advertising agency trainers who were responsible for educating the top advertising agencies, and their Fortune 500 clients from Madison Avenue to the local San Francisco market. Prior to joining Google, she worked at Computerworld, an IDG publication, selling print advertising to high tech, enterprise companies.

Ms. Zurek received both her BA in English as well as an MBA in Marketing from Santa Clara University. She has been featured in BusinessWeek, Haute Living Magazine, Inc.com, ReadWriteWeb, 57 Degrees Magazine, The New York Times, TechCrunch and the Xconomy

Ms. Zurek is a long time member of Sand Hill Angels, having served on its board for three years from 2008-2010. Currently, she sits on the Advisory Board of ASTIA, a female entrepreneur organization. She is also both a board member of Web Forward/Mozilla (Firefox browser) and a board member of the Santa Clara University Leavey Business School.
