Marina Menendez: Excited For What's to Come
Spring quarter definitely had its ups and downs this year. I think after a year of doing school online, finding motivation and focus within my classes was more of a challenge than ever. That being said, as I close out my 3rd year at Santa Clara the reality that college is flying by has become so apparent. Seeing all my senior friends reminisce on their 4 years here at SCU has reminded me to not take any moment for granted and to live each quarter to the fullest.
This summer I plan to intern at Apple in their Financial Development Program and in the fall I will be studying abroad in Barcelona, Spain. After how difficult this past academic year was I feel blessed that I have so much to look forward to for the rest of this year.
Ambassadors has been a welcomed outlet and gratifying experience amidst the craziness of doing college online. Seeing how beneficial my experience can be for students about to enter SCU has allowed me to hone in one just how important this program is to me. Looking forward to summer and the fall, I plan to uphold all that it means to be a Leavey Ambassador and I know I’ll come back to SCU with so many experiences to share. All in all, I am beyond excited for what's to come for me in my college career, and I know ambassadors will play an integral part in all that I do.
