What are you doing this summer? This summer I am a Corporate Accounting Intern at Intuitive Surgical. I'm supporting the Fixed Assets team at the med-tech firm with asset capitalizations and data retrieval, as well as working on a proposal to update a current internal accounting policy to increase department efficiency and scalability for the company.
What has been the most memorable part of your experience? So far, I've enjoyed getting the chance to speak with our CFO about essential soft and hard skills for young professionals to have in their early career. Also, learning about roles in Finance and Accounting from networking with company professionals has helped me navigate where I'd like to take my career. Lastly, our internship program has been fantastic with both professional and social development, last week they took us all to Santa Cruz Boardwalk for the day!
