What are you doing this summer? This summer I am working as a Buying Intern at Blick Art Materials. On the buying team I am able to assist with a variety of roles including market research, product development, and data analysis. As one of two interns, I have been able to make a great impact working directly under an Associate Buyer who has allowed me to assist on projects presented to the VP and CEO of the company.
What has been the most memorable part of your experience? The most memorable part of my experience has been the ability to learn from a variety of industry professionals within the company. I have been able to have conversations with professionals in buying, merchandising, finance, marketing, and operations. This has given me the opportunity to network and learn more in-depth about what roles these professionals have.
