What are you doing this summer? This summer I have been working with my father in the new family business which is a deli market that we recently launched in Brisbane, Australia. I have been contacting suppliers, making orders, creating new recipes with the chef, supervising staff, learning about food and safety regulations, doing social media marketing, managing inventory, and ensuring customers are having a great experience.
What has been the most memorable part of your experience? My family moved to Australia almost two year ago, and working on a startup is certainly not easy, especially when you are new to a country. Nevertheless, despite all challenges this has been a great adventure in which I have learned more than I could have ever imagined. During this time I have been able to understand what I am passionate about and what my real interests are in business making this experience memorable.
