What was one of your favorite classes? My favorite class that I took while studying abroad in Milan was probably my Visual Merchandising class. Although it was a class for my CORE Arts requirement, it was fun to be immersed in the fashion world of Milan while still learning about European history and economy.
What did you like about your program/university? My program was immersed in the Italian and European world, while still keeping an American teaching system which helped all students adapt.
What was your favorite place that you visited or favorite part about your city? Although Milan was a busy big city, my favorite part was going into the city square and seeing the Duomo cathedral. No matter where you were, there were always tourists, which helps you appreciate you are even more.
What advice would you give to the 2024 abroad students? Put yourself out there as much as you can, try to get to know other students and be nice to all locals. Also, don't feel pressured to always be traveling or doing something. Explore your host country and take time to rest as well.
