The Hostess Becomes the President

Eunice Sullivan, wife of George L. Sullivan, the first dean of the School of Engineering, earned the nickname, “The Hostess,” for her warm and generous social skills. She helped organize the Catala Club and was the first president of this organization of women “who believe in the Santa Clara education and have a desire to raise scholarship funds for deserving students” while fostering SCU spirit through events and activities.
