Hedhi Help Project Successfully Tested in Uganda
Last year’s Senior Design Project, “Hedhi Help,” was tested successfully in Uganda by Rose Academies, a partner organization of the Frugal Innovation Hub. The project is an app that helps to eradicate the stigma associated with menstruation in young women and men. The app was part of Rose Academies' story published in a special edition for "Violence Against Women" in the digital publication, Ananke. Special shout out to the project advisors Silvia Figueira and Michele Parker, the computer engineering students Sarah Pagnani, Kelsey Pasco, Sarek Sotelo Jimenez, Brandon Smith and the Engineering World Health students Arbelina Bebla, Elizabeth Smith (both Public Health Science) and Mira Diwan (Public Health Science and Psychology) and to the computer engineering graduate student Hairong Wang who got the app ready to be tested last month in Uganda.
