Silicon Valley - Israel Humanitarian Robotics Collaborative

Overview

This Collaborative is developing joint education and research activities in the area of robotic systems and technologies for humanitarian applications. This includes potential work in a broad array of areas such as disaster response, food/water, energy, agriculture, education, and assistive technology. The Collaborative has a specific focus on developing impactful, real-world systems and capabilities that provide societal value.

Activities

The Collaborative has been established for an initial period of 5 years. In the current first year, the partners are beginning to meet routinely and are engaged in planning activities and a few simple joint activities. Years 2 and 3 are projected to focus on collaborative educational activities. Years 4 and 5 are targeting the potential for join R&D initiatives.
