To minimize food waste at Santa Clara University, the team created an idea called “SnapFood”. SnapFood is comprised of two main components: a table with a built-in camera where food is donated and photographed, and the social media account where photographs of the food are shared. The design implements a portable table surface, a PVC camera armature, a Raspberry Pi computer and camera module, and an easy-to-use button that allows users to instantly share their pictures on Twitter.
