The Public Guardian (PG) is a mechanism of last resort for protecting the interests of the most vulnerable in society-those who cannot care for themselves and have no friend or family willing to care for them. Medical decision-making is one area of protection required for many publicly conserved individuals. These materials were prepared by a conference on end-of-life decision making for patients in the care of public conservators.
