Dr. Adele Xing is an Assistant Professor of Management at the Leavey School of Business. 

Her research focuses on understanding inter-organizational relationships using a behavioral approach, drawing on social psychological theories and the behavioral theory of the firm. She explores this topic in two ways. In one line of research, She examines what strategies firms use to solve problems they encounter in acquisitions, and how these strategies affect acquisition performance and firms’ acquisition behaviors in the future. In the second line of research, she studies how firms negotiate, design, and amend contracts when collaborating with other firms.

Dr. Xing holds a B.A. in Business Administration from Wuhan University, and she also holds an M.A. in Strategic Management from Peking University. She earned a Ph.D. in Business Administration from the University of Southern California's Marshall School of Business.
