Kirthi Kalyanam, JCPenney Research Professor, director of the Retail Management Institute, and marketing department chair, was interviewed for a Business Daily article on remarketing to rope in more customers online. The piece focused specifically on Kenyan brands that were able to reach target customers but struggling to seal the transaction.

“Remarketing is about keeping a conversation going with existing customers across channels, consumers that brands have had contact with before and can identify. It is the easiest entry point for brands and consumers to engage — low-hanging fruit for customer acquisition — but remarketing is a much broader concept that focuses on retention,” he said.
