Business School Students Recognized by University

Seven business school students received University awards this year in recognition of their contributions to the Santa Clara community.

Congratulations to our business students who received University Awards recognizing their special contributions to the community this year! All awards were announced at the annual Senior Toast, and will be presented at Commencement.

Jon Colarelli, a senior finance and psychology double major and urban education minor, received the Nobili Medal. This award is presented to the male graduate judged outstanding in academic performance, personal character, school activities, and constructive contribution to the University.

Alana Hinkston, a senior marketing and communications double major with a minor in Retail Studies, received the Peter-Hans Kolvenbach, S.J. Award. This award is given to graduating seniors who exemplify the ideals of Jesuit education, especially being a "whole person of solidarity in the real world" and having the courage and faith to build a more just and humane world.

Glen Bradley (marketing), Lauren Gardiner (economics), Grace Lacayo (management), and Aaron Poor (individual studies in sustainable development) were presented with Student Life Awards to recognize their contributions to the overall quality of life in the University community.

Lauren Gardiner and Alana Hinkston representing Unity 4 received the Gracelyn Rillorta Bateman Student Inclusive Excellence Award. This honor is awarded by the University Council on Inclusive Excellence to a current student or student organization that has demonstrated a commitment to enhancing an inclusive environment at SCU.

Jenna Lipman (economics) received the 2016 Alumni Association Board of Director's Service Award, which provides financial support to seniors who are leaving SCU and going directly into a service program or project.

We are proud of these students’ commitment to excellence and wish them the best as they begin the next step in their journey.
