Projects

Rian Draeger and Kira Kubota

Students Rian Draeger and Kira Kubota (undergraduates, class of 2012) examine lithographically fabricated capillary electrophonresis microfluidic chips to detect neurohemal biogenic amines in the crab Cancer borealis. The project is in collaboration among John Birmingham (Physics), Steven Suljak (Chemistry), and Unyoung (Ashley) Kim (Bioengineering).

Max Giammona and David Oparko

Undergraduate research students Max Giammona (Chemistry and Biochemistry) and David Oparko (Physics) image the surface of a polymer solar cell using the atomic force microscope.
