Vacuum Forming Machine
The vacuum forming machine can form plastic sheets around objects to create a form. In the Maker Lab, we have a Centroform SV 1217 vacuum former.

Training Required: Basic Training
Workspace: Forming area 12" x 17"
Materials: Thin plastic sheets
Material Fees: We have plastic sheets (clear and white) available for single projects. Let us know if you want to make multiple forms.
Common Terminology: Mold- the form or object the heated plastic sheet is forced against using a vacuum in order to shape the plastic.
