Ethics of Vaccine Mandates

Charles E. Binkley, MD, director of bioethics at the Markkula Center for Applied Ethics, interviewed on Swift Healthcare.

"The idea behind vaccine mandates is it really is the most efficient way to reopen certain parts of society, certain benefits that society has come to expect, but in a way that is safe and that protects everyone, particularly the most vulnerable. So just going back to the vaccines, you know, part of getting a vaccine is not just to protect yourself, but it's to protect the rest of the society. It is a reciprocal relationship."
