New Windsor’s Revision of Ethics Code Has Critics
Those changes weaken the public’s trust, according to Hana Callaghan, director of government ethics for the Markkula Center for Applied Ethics at Santa Clara University.
“It’s important that (an ethics) commission appear independent,” she said. “If they are all of one party, it may give cause to doubt that independence.”
