Heather Dumas-Dyer is the Associate Vice Provost for Student Health, Counseling and Well-Being. With over 20 years experience in higher education administration, Heather is passionate about providing high-quality health, counseling, and wellness services that actively reduce barriers to learning and cultivate opportunities for academic achievement and student success.

Heather
 oversees and partners closely with Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS), Student Health Services (SHS), The Wellness Center, Emergency Medical Services (EMS), and Student Health Insurance. 

Heather has a B.S. in Educational Studies with an emphasis in Family and Human Services from the University of Oregon and an Ed.M, in College Student Services form Oregon State University.

She appreciates connecting with the talented Cowell Center staff and campus partners to best support mental health and overall student success. She has devoted time in supporting student mental health including experience in suicide prevention as a certified QPR trainer, coordinating the campus efforts for Mental Health First Aid, serving on the Behavioral Concerns Team, and has experience with crisis planning and response.
