American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics

The AIAA SCU Chapter is the student organization on campus dedicated towards the understanding of engineering principles behind aerospace vehicles. Its goal is to educate undergraduate engineers in the control, operation, construction, and maintenance of quad-copters, satellites, propulsion systems, drones, and other air and space vehicles. With connections to more than 190 other aerospace student organizations and industry faculty, AIAA will provide the platform and opportunity for students to not only learn more about aerospace but also get to know more peers who share the same interest.  For the coming year, the club plans on participating in competitions to design, build and fly air and space vehicles such as the CanSat competition and the Design-Build-Fly competition, as well as hosting activities on campus to the general student body and spark interest towards the field of aerospace.
