Biomedical Engineering Society (BMES)

The Biomedical Engineering Society at Santa Clara University was founded in 2010 and is dedicated to promoting bioengineering and the biomedical sciences through study, research, and discussion of current technological advances and issues in the biomedical field. The Mission of the BMES is to build and support the biomedical engineering community at a local, national and international level with activities designed to communicate recent advances, discoveries, and inventions; promote education and professional development; and integrate the perspectives of the academic, medical, governmental, and business sectors. Santa Clara University’s chapter of the BMES strives to connect all Bioengineering, Biomedical Engineering, Biotechnology, or Pre-Health majors at SCU, along with anyone else who is interested in learning more about the biomedical field. Each quarter we host industry speakers, networking and informational sessions, and general meetings. BMES is committed to building a strong community amongst engineers and peers interested in furthering the medical field.
