Associated General Contractors (AGC)

AGC represents the construction industry on a national and local basis through lobbying, networking events, and educational opportunities. AGC expanded into student chapters to help recruit the future of its industries to companies involved and offer scholarship opportunities as well as educational events like conferences and other such events. Our main event of the year is the Associated Schools of Construction competition held in Reno, Nevada. This is a construction management construction where students are given a problem in the morning and are given 18 hours to complete it. Then they must make a presentation to judges on their finished product. Students at Santa Clara are put through training session before hand in order to learn valuable skills in construction that are not taught at this University.
