San Jose Mercury News reporter Lisa Krieger described her personal experience dealing with her father's death and the ethical issues that raised in a talk May 14, 2013, sponsored by the Ethics Center and the Commonwealth Club, Silicon Valley. In a series of powerful articles for the Mercury, Krieger both documented the immense financial costs associated with her father's final illness and showed how such costs are impacting end-of-life care throughout our health care system as a whole.
