"Business, Ethics, and Compassion" was the theme when the Dalai Lama visited Santa Clara University in 2014, sponsored by the Ethics Center and Stanford University’s Center for Compassion and Altruism Research and Education.
The Dalai Lama was joined by the CEO of Dignity Health, Lloyd Dean, for his public talk.

He also met with Silicon Valley leaders in a panel including Charles Geschke, co-founder of Adobe; Monica Worline, research fellow at the university of Michigan Compassion Lab; and Jane Shaw, chairman of the board at Intel (retired).
