to Learn with MOBI this November

Celebrating National Entrepreneurship Month
In celebration of National Entrepreneurship Month this November, Santa Clara University's My Own Business Institute (MOBI) invites the Bronco community to explore our free online entrepreneurship courses in a Broncos Explore Entrepreneurship (BEE) learning promotion.
Whether you're interested in starting a business, strengthening your professional skills, taking a favorite hobby to the next level, or simply learning something new, MOBI offers practical knowledge you can apply to your own goals and ideas.
How to Participate
- Create a Free MOBI Account
Create a free MOBI account or sign in to your existing account. - Select Your Affiliation
When creating your account, open the "Other Fields" drop down menu, and select "Bronco" under Affiliation. Be sure "Permission to email" is checked. - Confirm Your Account
You will receive an email to confirm your account. Click on the link in the email to confirm. - Login and Enroll in Your Course(s)
Click on Business Courses 2026-2027, select your course, click "Enroll Me," and begin with Session 1 of your course! - Earn Your Certificate of Completion in November
All MOBI students are eligible to earn a Certificate of Completion and/or Digital Badge. Complete a MOBI course during November and share your Certificate of Completion with MOBI for a chance to receive a special Bronco gift bundle.
Who Can Participate?
Through the Broncos Explore Entrepreneurship promotion this November, Santa Clara University faculty, staff, students, and alumni are invited to learn with MOBI and eligible to win a Bronco gift bundle. On campus members of the Bronco community can also receive a printed copy of their Certificate.

MOBI currently offers 43 business topics/sessions that are combined in different ways to form 7 individual courses:
- Starting a Business
- Managing a Business
- Growing a Business
- Quick Start Entrepreneur
- Small Business Essentials
- Sales & Marketing Badge Course (does not provide a Certificate)
- Leadership & Professional Success
Do You Have to Create an Account to Take a Course?
Yes! To be eligible to win a Bronco gift bundle, you do need to create an account and complete a course within the MOBI learning management system. While the curriculum for each session is the same on our website and in our learning management system, the learning management system tracks your progress, provides quizzes and a final exams, and awards the Certificates of Completion and/or Digital Badges when course requirements have been met.
What's Required to Pass?
Requirements for the courses may differ. Some require students to complete the course and pass a final exam, others require students to complete the course and pass all quizzes, with no final exam. In all cases, a Student Feedback Survey is also required.
Please note, quizzes and finals for any course can be taken multiple times without penalty. There are optional activities, but there are no homework requirements for any of the courses.
MOBI courses are offered in our standard text with many sessions available in audio and video learning options. All courses are available in English and Spanish. Audio and video learning options are available in English, with Spanish subtitles offered for the videos.

Please note: To be eligible for the Bronco gift drawing, you must complete a course during November.
