Janice Thornburg received $1,249,891 from the Lilly Foundation
Janice Thornburg with the Graduate Programs in Pastoral Ministries has received a $1,249,891 award from the Lilly Foundation to support the Institute for Parish Renewal - A Thriving Congregations Initiative Program.
The outcome seeks to provide assessment and development of programs within Christian congregations through which to develop, adapt and/or enrich new and resilient ministries in the post-pandemic reality. In light of the changing social and cultural context in the local communities it is important to better understand congregations mission and vision in light of those changing contexts in order to develop relevant avenues which provide ways for individuals to grow in their relationship with God, within communities in congregations.
