Laura Nichols received $20,000 from Ithaka S+R
Laura Nichols with the Sociology Department has received a $20,000 award from Ithaka S+R to support her project "Using Data and Local Partnerships to Increase the Enrollment and Success of Low-Income Transfer Students at ATIs".
This project will (1) provide a blueprint for how selective and highly selective four-year institutions can leverage public data to identify potential partnerships and prospective students who are also low-income in their local communities and, (2) chronicle the development of a community college/ATI campus partnership that includes understanding from students the pathways and supports necessary to transfer to an ATI campus.
