Vivian Tamkin received $10,000 from UCLA
Vivian Tamkin with the Counseling Psychology Department has received a $10,000 award from UCLA to support her project "Here is How I 'Show Up' for you Baby: A Community-Engaged Exploration of Reflective Functioning in African American/Black Mothers".
The objective of the proposed project is to continue the initial examination of a parenting construct called reflective functioning, with an expressed interest in developing a culturally frame conceptualization construct that leads to a 10-week support (intervention) group for African American/Black mothers of young children.
