Eco Fashion Show 2025

Our celebration of upcycled artistry offers Broncos more an alternative to wasteful consumption, but also a vision for a more just, creative, and livable world.

Sustainability showed off in style at EcoFashion Show, the Center for Sustainability's annual runway event that celebrates and elevates the importance of responsible fashion.

The late Pope Francis highlighted the destructive impact of throwaway culture and excessive consumption, as he called upon us to “adopt a circular model of production capable of preserving resources for present and future generations.” Answering that call, student designers treated a packed house of 148 to a visually stunning and thought-provoking showcase of original fashions—created entirely from upcycled clothing and materials, many sourced from our own on-campus thrift store, Bucky’s Closet. Outfits ranged from casual to couture, each carrying playful themes and prompting reflection on the ecological cost of our consumption habits.

The EcoFashion Show is more than a runway event—it’s the dazzling culmination of the Center for Sustainability’s year-round commitment to equipping students with practical upcycling skills, free access to clothing, and opportunities for professional development in the sustainable fashion industry. Our celebration of upcycled artistry offers Broncos not just an alternative to wasteful consumption, but a vision for a more just, creative, and livable world.
