The Information Security Office encourages users to use modern software including operating systems on their machines. ClearPass OnGuard currently supports the following operating systems versions with input from the supported software list published by our Academic Technology group here:
- Windows
- Windows 10
- Windows 11
- macOS
- macOS 10.15 Catalina (Apple's minimum system requirements)
- macOS 11 Big Sur (Apple's minimum system requirements)
- macOS 12 Monterey (Apple's minimum system requirements)
- Linux
- Ubuntu 18.04 LTS, 20.04 LTS, 22.04 LTS
- CentOS Stream 8
- RHEL 8.5+
Patching and update requirements may change based on criticality of patches released by Microsoft, macOS, or Linux distrbutors.
Any operating systems that are not legal, official, or full releases (including any preview or beta builds) from Microsoft, Apple or Linux distributors are not supported.
