Meet the Staff Members of the Frugal Innovation Hub.

Director
Dr. Silvia Figueira is an Associate Professor of Computer Engineering in the School of Engineering, as well as Director of the Frugal Innovation Hub. She creates and executes program strategy for FIH, and guides student projects to successful outcomes with clients.

Director of Programs and Partnerships
Allan focuses on the development of FIH signature programs with university, corporate and social enterprise partners to create opportunities for faculty and students to engage in the development and implementation of humanitarian technology solutions.

Brianna is pursuing her MS in Engineering Management while serving as co-president of the Association of Graduate Engineering Students (AGES) and interning as a software engineer. She manages the Frugal Innovation Hub website and assists in the coordination, development, and deployment of student-built humanitarian software projects.
