What is your favorite part about your role? My favorite part about working in a garden is connecting with nature in such a fun and interactive way! As our world is becoming more complex and hard to navigate, I believe gardening is one of the best ways for people to take a breather from the outside and be present with nature and like-minded friends and peers.
What extra/co-curricular activities are you involved in on campus? I am an AMDG fellow with the Ignatian Center this year, and have been on various immersions with them ever since freshman year, including going to West Virginia and Santiago, Chile. I am also a teacher’s assistant at Kids On Campus, SCU’s preschool and help with the little kiddos with daily tasks and fun activities!
Other passions, hobbies, fun facts, or anything else you want to share? I am a big fan of physical movement, and my current obsessions are weightlifting, bouldering, and doing intramural indoor and beach volleyball! I also love all kinds of animals, bugs, reptiles, and all creatures! I also have a love for baking, especially during the fall and winter months (I make a mean pie)!
