Student Sustainability Coordinators gain professional skills by leading transformational campus programs. Each coordinator has role-specific responsibilities (in academic support, communications/outreach, circular economy programs, or operational improvements). All coordinators also work shifts at Bucky's Closet.
Duration: Ongoing - 1 academic year, with the opportunity to continue through senior year
Benefits: Hourly pay with ongoing supervision & mentorship and quarterly feedback & evaluations.

The Summer Sustainability Intern: Circular Economy will oversees Bucky’s Closet summer operations and procedures, including volunteer recruitment/training, inventory management, screening donations, maintaining store aesthetics, and checking out customers. The intern will also support taking inventory of the donations collected during Zero Waste Move Out and promoting the Center for Sustainability/Bucky’s Closet at New Student Orientation.
Must be available to work ~14 hours/week from June 15 to July 31.
Note: This position is only for the summer!

Silicon Valley Power Sustainable Futures Fellowship is an opportunity for leadership development and self-directed experiences that prepare students for early-career jobs and improve their graduate admission prospects. Each Fellowship concludes with a culminating experience (e.g. paper, presentation, event, etc.) to share results and learnings.
Duration: 1 academic year with supervision and mentorship throughout the term
Eligibility: Must be an undergraduate junior or senior during the duration of the fellowship

Opportunity for students to gain hands-on experience in sustainable food systems at The Forge Garden, SCU's 1/2-acre organic educational garden.
Duration: 100 hours during Summer Break
Benefits: Candidates are required to secure their own external funding (e.g., through the REAL Program, university grants, fellowships, or third-party scholarships). We will work with successful applicants to provide all necessary documentation to help secure these funds.

Garden Apprentices gain hands-on experience in sustainable food systems at The Forge Garden, SCU's 1/2-acre organic educational garden and support Forge Garden programs including food production, the Friday Farm Stand, Nourish Nights, workday volunteer hours, Glean Team, weekend workshops, campus collaborative events, and Center for Sustainability programming.
Duration: Ongoing - 1 academic year, with the opportunity to continue through senior year
Benefits: Hourly pay with ongoing supervision & mentorship and quarterly feedback & evaluations.

Bucky's Closet is always looking for volunteers to help with:
- Sorting through donations for accepted and non-accepted items
- Keeping the clothes racks neat and orderly by rehanging, straightening, and recategorizing clothes by type/size
- Checking-out customers
