What do you do in your role at the Center?  I help SCU achieve 100% ecologically managed landscaping to meet social, cultural, and ecosystem needs. I collaborate with Facilities Operations to engage our campus community in protecting, restoring, and managing our campus green spaces. Programs that I coordinate include Tree Trackers, native plants, Tree Campus Higher Education recognition and program management, and ReWilding Your Campus. I am responsible for developing interactive signage and facilitating events that promote tree care and engagement with native plants.

What is your favorite part about being on the team? I am deeply grateful to represent and collaborate with profoundly passionate individuals and unifying values such as those found in Leading Through Laudato Si (LTLS) Resources goals and strategies. I am very enthusiastic when educating and engaging students on campus with native plants and trees because they are my favorite pieces of nature!

What extra/co-curricular activities are you involved in on campus? I am Treasurer of NACC (Native American Coalition for Change), and heavily involved in SCU tUrn Climate Action Project, tUrnout Climate Action club, SCU Divestment coalition, Into The Wild, and Tree Trackers before I was a coordinator.

Other passions, hobbies, fun facts, or anything else you want to share? During my free time, I like to try new foods, play chess, play my electric guitar, spend quality time with friends and family, and love to always make new friends! My favorite tree is the coastal redwood (Sequoia sempervirens) and my favorite California native wildflowers are the Sky Lupine (Lupinus nanus).
