Caprese Salad

Caprese Salad Recipe - Morgan Billington

Ingredients: 

  • 3 large ripe heirloom tomatoes 
  • 1 pound mozzarella 
  • olive oil
  • salt and pepper
  • basil
  • balsamic glaze

Directions:

  1. While mozzarella is cold, slice into 1/4 inch thick slices. Set aside and allow it to come to room temperature. 
  2. Wash and slice tomatoes into 1/4 inch thick slices. Sprinkle generously with salt.
  3. Arrange mozzarella and tomato slices so that they overlap slightly. Sprinkle with salt and pepper. 
  4. Top with basil leaves, and drizzle with olive oil. Add balsamic glaze if desired. Enjoy!
