Hattan's article, On the Pressing Issue of Space Debris explores how space debris poses an imminent threat to space exploration and the actions we should take to mitigate the impact of this problem and its disastrous consequences.

 

About Alec Hattan

Alec Hattan ’23, was a 2022-23 Environmental Ethics Fellow with the Markkula Center for Applied Ethics, and recently graduated from Santa Clara University with a major in English and a minor in music. He is interested in environmental ethics because of the devastating effects current events will have on the future of our species. His fellowship focused on the issue of space debris and the threatening implications if left unattended. Alec enjoys playing music, reading, and mountain biking.
