SCU's Sustainability Strategic Plan has goals to reduce total campus waste and to reduce waste sent to landfills. Three objectives related to these goals are:

  1. Divert 90% of waste from landfills by 2020
  2. Reduce total waste per capita 5% by 2020, and 5% biannually thereafter
  3. Reduce food waste 10% by 2020, 20% by 2025

Each quarter, the Center for Sustainability conducts waste characterizations to determine the composition of our waste stream.
