Announcements can be used in one or two columns. It expands to fit wherever it is placed, and will certainly call attention to itself! The standard style can convey quick and timely information, but it’s not meant to be a static element. There is an additional emergency style that will render the header bright red – use this for cancellations, weather, campus alerts, etc.
Announcements should be placed as close to the page title as possible, and are most effective at around 20 words.
The Announcement content type can span the main content area's two columns, or be added to any of the other one-column positions on the page.
The text in the announcement content area can include formatting and links.
Use the "Emergency" announcement style to add a bright red color.
