Policies and Procedures

Pass options include unlimited, punch or drop in. Week one of the quarter is preview week through Sept. 24 - no pass needed to attend the free classes or sign up; first come first serve.

Passes and photo ID will be needed to attend all fall classes beginning Monday, Sept. 25. since there will be no preview week. Classes will then run for 9 weeks. There will be no classes on Saturday, Nov. 18 - Sunday, Nov. 26 due to the Thanksgiving holiday break.

New for Winter 2017 and continuing for spring quarter - due to lower attendance in a majority of the fitness classes, we will allow paid guests to purchase a pass and attend fitness classes. This is subject to change based on attendance. Guest can not attend classes preview week.

  • Unlimited Pass (pass price decreases by $10 each week as of Mon., Oct. 9 until the last 2 weeks of the quarter)
  • Rates not starting at $100 this quarter due to fewer classes overall on the fitness class schedule

    • $5 for a cardio, cycling class or two express classes

Unlimited Fitness Pass

The unlimited pass allows the pass holder to participate in unlimited fitness classes per day/per week for the summer. Unlimited passes are non-transferable and non-refundable. Campus Recreation is not responsible for lost or stolen cards. To use this pass, show the pass and a photo ID to the staff member checking in the class.

Punch Pass

The punch pass allows for participation in 7 full classes, 14 express classes or a combination of the two throughout the current summer or until the pass is out of punches. Participants may purchase more than one punch pass per summer. Punch passes are non-transferable and non-refundable. Campus Recreation is not responsible for lost or stolen passes. To use this pass, show the pass and a photo ID to the staff member checking in the class.

Drop In Pass

Participants that want to attend only one class can purchase a drop in pass. Participants will purchase the drop in on the day they would like attend a class & show their receipt to the Campus Recreation Staff checking in the classes.

You will be able to purchase your fitness class pass at the Malley Center Front Desk during business hours. We accept cash, check, Visa or MasterCard for payment. We are unable to take Flex for payments.

Passes will become available for purchase during the first week of the quarter, so it is highly recommended to start buying the first week to avoid long lines & the unlimited is discounted week one by $10.00. 

Entrance is first-come, first serve. Class sizes are limited to room capacity (44). All classes are held in the Malley Center Multipurpose Room. Places in line cannot be reserved for friends or co-workers. Participants will need to show their pass (unlimited, punch or drop in receipt) and their ACCESS card or Malley Center Membership card to the Campus Recreation Staff checking in the classes to participate. Participants that do not have their ACCESS card, Malley Center Membership Card or pass will not be able to participate in the fitness classes. 

Proper athletic footwear with non-marking soles must be worn (with the exception of all yoga/pilates classes). Please arrive to class on time. Patrons will not be admitted five minutes after class has begun. Schedules are subject to change or cancellation. A revised class schedule will be posted when changes have been made. Please note that some of our instructors are law students and their academic schedule is semesters. We will note all their changes on the current class schedule. All passes are non-transferable and non-refundable with one exception: a medical refund. A medical refund may be available with appropriate verification from a physician. In such instances the pass refund will be pro-rated to the date of the medical documentation provided. To request a medical refund, please complete this Refund Request Form. You may submit it to the Malley Center Front Desk Staff or e-mail it to fitness@scu.edu. All refund checks will be mailed to the address provided on the Refund Request Form four to six weeks after submitting your request.
