CAS Peer Advisors - Knowledgeable student leaders who understand academic procedures, policies, the Core Curriculum, and Workday. |
You can contact them at casadvising@scu.edu or sign up for an appointment for course selection, creating course plans, and preparing for meetings with faculty advisors. |
Major Peer Advisors (MPAs) are experienced upper-division students who understand the ins and outs of your major. They offer practical advice on classes, campus opportunities, and getting involved. MPAs work alongside faculty advisors to help you navigate your major with confidence and support.
SET identified these departments need peer advisors due to the large number of majors:

Majors and Minors
The College of Arts and Sciences offers 33 majors and 51 minors. Ranging from the arts to the humanities to the natural and social sciences, many programs incorporate an interdisciplinary and cross-disciplinary curriculum.
As part of a Santa Clara education, students are required to complete the core curriculum in addition to the requirements set by their chosen area of study. Students often choose to double major or supplement their major with a minor(s). Academic and peer advisors are available to help navigate the process of selecting, adding, or changing majors and minors.
